This week on *The Angry Ginger Podcast*, I'm talking about my love/hate relationship with *biker poker runs*—and my experience on one of my final rides before moving away.

It was a great cause, a beautiful day, I was riding with my best friend, and somehow I managed to *win the poker hand with three 4s*. Of course, there were two other people with three of a kind—three 2s and three 3s—so apparently the poker gods decided to make the math as fucking obvious as possible.

But as much as I love getting out on the motorcycle, there's one thing that drives me absolutely insane:

*Group riding when nobody can maintain a damn speed.*

We're in a 70 MPH zone doing 70... then 60... then 45... and suddenly we're crawling along at 30 for absolutely no reason. After the second stop, my buddy and I finally decided we'd had enough and took off ahead of the group.

And honestly?

*That's when the ride got good.*

We'll talk about why poker runs are still worth doing despite the lines, the stops, the unpredictable group riding, the questionable poker hands, and all the other bullshit that comes with getting a bunch of bikers together.

We'll also talk about the charity side of these events, the auctions, why I decided to put some of my poker winnings back into the cause, and how the night eventually turned into *drinks and some questionable karaoke decisions.*

It's a love/hate relationship—but at the end of the day, I'll probably still fucking sign up for the next one.

🏍️ *Ride safe. Drink when the bike is parked. And for fuck's sake... pick a speed and stick with it.*

*True Stories. Bad Decisions. Good Laughs.*
Episode 7 - Poker Runs: Why the Hell Do We Keep Doing This?
Remember when the Internet made that horrible screeching noise before it connected? When you had to rewind a VHS tape, wait for your favorite song on the radio, and actually *go to the mall to see what your friends were doing?*

This week on *The Angry Ginger Podcast*, we're taking another trip back to the 1990s—and going much deeper into what made that decade so damn memorable.

Chris revisits the television shows we couldn't miss, the movies we rented from Blockbuster, the music we discovered through MTV and the radio, the mall that basically served as our social media, and the early days of the Internet when *"You've Got Mail!"* was actually exciting.

We'll talk about AIM, Yahoo chat rooms, dial-up Internet, Napster, mixtapes, video games, '90s fashion, and the strange reality of growing up during the transition from an offline world to the connected world we live in today.

And yes... *Green Day gets another mention.* You knew that was coming.

Then, in this week's *Ginger Grievance*, Chris puts on his cybersecurity hat and talks about something everyone should understand:

*Your digital footprint.*

What you post online can stick around a hell of a lot longer than you think. We'll break down digital footprints, passwords, multi-factor authentication, oversharing, and some simple ways to protect yourself online—without turning this into a boring cybersecurity lecture.

Because the '90s may have been the last decade before everything was online...

And honestly?

*Maybe that's part of why we miss them so much.*

Episode 6 - Back to the 90's part 2
Dating in your 40s is a whole different game—and I have the dating résumé to prove it.

In this episode of The Angry Ginger Podcast, I take a brutally honest and often hilarious look back at my dating life, from my early 20s in Watertown, South Dakota, through college, relationships, divorce, and the absolute chaos of trying to navigate dating later in life.

There are some stories that are hard to believe, some decisions Chris definitely regrets, and enough red flags to fill an entire museum.

But underneath the laughs is a more serious question:

What happens when you finally get tired of looking for love?

I talk about what he's learned about relationships, communication, self-worth, and what he actually wants from a partner now. He also gets into the emotional damage that can come from being told "I love you" and then being left wondering where you stand.

And, of course, there's this week's Ginger Grievance—a passionate rant about something that shouldn't be this difficult:

Communication.

Because sometimes all it takes is a 30-second text to say, "Hey, something came up. I can't make it."

No drama. No guessing. No wondering what happened.

Just communicate.

In this episode:

💔 Dating disasters from my 20s to his 40s
🚩 The Red Flag Museum
❤️ What I actually want from a relationship now
👻 Ghosting and the damage of uncertainty
🗣️ Why communication matters
😂 Why I may have officially thrown in the towel on finding love

True Stories. Bad Decisions. Good Laughs.

#2 DIY Nightmare
After years of hearing, "You should try stand-up," I finally decided to make it happen. And I failed miserably. So now I'm going to try a podcast.

In this first episode, I'm introducing myself, sharing why I started the podcast, and giving you a glimpse into the stories, conversations, and occasional rants you can expect in future episodes. From bad decisions that turned into great stories to motorcycles, life lessons, current events, and honest conversations with interesting guests—nothing is off the table.

If you enjoy real people, authentic stories, and a little sarcasm mixed with a lot of laughs, you're in the right place.
